Where do you work?

I deliver wedding ceremonies mostly across the Costa Blanca, Valencia and the region of Murcia in Spain. I love to travel and am also available to travel for wedding ceremonies further across Spain, the Canary and Balearic Islands, France and Portugal.

I'm based near to the city of Alicante and work in the South-east corner of Spain from Valencia down to Murcia including some of the popular locations Alicante, Moraira, Calpe, Javea, Villajoyosa, Denia, Elche, Torrevieja, La Manga, Guadarmar del Segura  and VillaMartin.

Popular locations for my ceremonies are in the spanish countryside, the mountains, hotels, beaches or city as an independent celebrant I work in a variety of venues and locations.

What kind of ceremonies do you offer?

I also offer family celebrancy including naming ceremonies, funerals and memorial ceremonies.

How does the process with you work?

Normally we'll hold our first meeting via zoom during which I'll ask you some questions so that I can get to know you and your story (when you met, your preferences for ceremony style, details about the venue etc etc).

If you agree that you'd like to go ahead at this stage I will ask for a deposit to secure your dates. Following this I usually ask both of you to fill out a questionnaire. From this I create an outline of the ceremony, the script and the vows. We can revise these together over time until we have them just right.

If you have a wedding planner I will liase with them too. I'll be in touch 10 days before the ceremony to check in on the details and request that the blanace is paid.

On the day I usually arrive at least an hour in advance and make sure everything is set up correctly.

After the ceremony you'll receive your certificate and I'll be delighted to congratulate you both!

How much do you charge for your ceremonies in Spain?

My ceremonies startt at €375 for a simple ceremony up to €625 for a bespoke ceremony.

How far in advance do we need to book a wedding celebrant?

I find that most of my bookings are made between 9 and 12 months in advance of the ceremony date. Sometimes it's shorter and on occasion longer, a lot depends on when and how you start planning.

My diary can change at any moment and often fills up for the popular wedding months well in advance, so to avoid disappointment it's advisable to confirm your dates with a reservation fee as soon as you can.

I know that for sometimes particuarly with vow renewals and elopements its can be a more last minute decision.and I am, diary permitting available for ceremonies at shorter notice. Obvoulsy some time is required to create and write the ceremony itself but its remarkable what we can create with even a short amount of time. My availability for shorter-notice bookings can depend on my booked commitments and when and where the ceremony will be. If you're planning a ceremony in the very near future the best thing to do is to get in touch and i can give you a quick answer regarding my availability to conduct the ceremony for you.

Is a celebrant wedding ceremony in Spain legal?

A celebrant wedding ceremony is not legally recognised within the marriage laws of the United Kingdom or Spain.

I recommend that you arrange a basic statutory ceremony at a convenient register office in the UK or in a country where you are a citizen.

It helps if you think about the Marriage as the "legal bit" and the Wedding as the "celebration" which is where I come in!

What is a celebrant wedding ceremony?

A celebrant wedding, sometimes called a blessing is a personalised wedding ceremony that allows you the complete flexibility to have a meaningful wedding:

-When you want

-In a location of your choice

-To use your words in your vows/promises

-Include involve and have present only those that you choose

-Bring interest and meaning with rituals or fun touches

-Acknowledge the spirit of loved ones lost

-Include children, family or friends

- With a celebrant that you know - Me!

A celebrant wedding ceremony gives you freedom to do things your way on your special day, formal, informal, fun or classic the choice is yours.

As an independent celebrant I can work closely with you to develop bespoke vows and a wedding script that is as you imagined.

  • If you wish to include religious references, we can do that.

  • If you'd like your sister to read a poem, we can do that.

  • If you'd like everyone to sing a particular song, we can do that.

  • If you'd like to include a hand tieing or sand ritual, we can do that.
