DESTINATION WEDDING CELEBRANT ALICANTE, VALENCIA, MURCIA

I believe in the power of storytelling. Stories help us understand each other. Keeping histories alive and linking them to the future.
Love stories will always be my favourite. The serendipity of the universe crossing the paths of two people at a moment in time. Once separate stories that become ….. shared .....forever.

CELEBRANT TRAINING & MENTORING
Alongside my work as a destination wedding celebrant in Spain, I am also the founder of Let’s Talk Ceremonies, a professional space dedicated to elevating standards within the celebrant industry. Through this platform, I share advanced training, guidance and strategic support with celebrants across the world, helping shape the next generation of confident, modern ceremony professionals.
My commitment to excellence — both in the ceremonies I create and in the celebrants I mentor — is at the heart of everything I do. Couples working with me benefit not only from years of experience and a deep understanding of destination weddings, but also from the insight that comes from actively contributing to the growth and development of the wider celebrant community.

More of the backstory …
The Joyous World of Being a Celebrant in Spain
When people ask me what being a celebrant in Spain is like, I say one thing …. “JOYOUS”.
It’s truly a fabulous thing to be able to do. Why? Well, firstly I meet such an amazingly diverse range of interesting people from all around the world. Each with their own unique tales, stories and reasons that have brought them to this moment of planning a wedding in the Alicante region of Spain. Couples often begin by wondering what languages celebrants speak on the Costa Blanca or where to hire a multilingual celebrant near Alicante, and it’s always lovely to reassure them that their ceremony can be created in a way that feels natural and comfortable for them.
Multi-lingual Celebrant Near Alicante
As a multilingual celebrant who speaks Spanish and French — and someone who specialises in international ceremonies — I’m very used to working with couples whose weddings bring together guests from a wide mix of cultures and backgrounds. One recent celebration included speakers of fourteen different languages, and it was a joy to acknowledge that diversity within the ceremony itself. Over the years, I’ve delivered introductions or small sections of ceremonies in Lithuanian, Italian, Romanian, Russian, Hungarian, French, Spanish and Swedish. Because I’m an avid linguist with a good ear, and because I work closely with my couples on scripts, I’m able to learn and deliver short, meaningful phrases in other languages too. It’s always a surprise for guests, and the gesture is incredibly well‑received — a simple way to make everyone feel seen, included and part of the celebration.
Working with couples from Ireland to Lebanon and Russia, as well as Canada to America, Belgium to Lithuania to name just a few, makes my job super interesting. Each couple with their own images and experiences of Spain that they blend with their roots and their modern lives to create a truly unique Spanish wedding that they’ll always remember. It’s one of the reasons I’m often contacted by international couples searching for the best celebrants for international couples in Costa Blanca — this region naturally attracts people from every corner of the world.
Such a Diverse World Of weddings and Amazing Couple Choice Here in Alicante
No two weddings are alike and that’s what is so fascinating about being an Alicante wedding celebrant. From the wedding venue choice, to the size of the guest list, the overall vision, the outfits, the vibe and tone of the words that you wish to share with each other in the moment of exchange of vows. Every wedding is unique and every ceremony I create is built and scripted around each couple that I work with. This is especially true for couples asking how celebrants personalise ceremonies in Valencia, because the answer is always the same: everything begins with your story.
How I plan Weddings and Vow Renewals in Spain
Most of the time we are able to meet in person, in advance of the wedding. Perhaps on a venue visit. Sometimes we meet a couple of days before when you arrive in Spain for the wedding celebrations. Occasionally, we may not meet until the day itself. Whenever we meet you may feel like you already know me. I’ve been told this several times by my clients. Why? Because I’m skilled at working with my couples in flexible ways, working around time zones and busy schedules to create opportunities on Zoom to connect and build a rapport. We’ll exchange emails and WhatsApp messages, maybe we’ll follow one another on social media. All that allows me sufficient insight to make sure that your ceremony is personalised and toned to you as a couple. It’s also why couples often say the process of how to book a wedding with Costa Blanca Celebrant feels simple and reassuring.
My Love of Spain
One of the other reasons that I love my job is where it takes me. I’ve been coming to Spain since I was a little girl, I studied as an Erasmus student at the University of Oviedo in Asturias northern Spain, worked carefree and fun university summers on the Costa Brava and have travelled extensively for fun across this magical country. My family moved as expats to the Alicante region over 20 years ago so I’ve never been short of excuses to visit. In addition, my career took me frequently to Madrid and Barcelona which was always a treat and I always enjoyed working with my Spanish colleagues. I felt that I had a really good grasp of Spain and in particular the region of Alicante. But being a wedding celebrant has revealed a new world beyond my well‑trodden paths of old.
The Costa Blanca is Full of Hidden Gem Wedding Venues
Despite my existing and long connection with the Costa Blanca Region of Spain, the world of weddings in Spain has opened doors to so many new places that I hadn’t visited before. Quaint authentic Spanish wedding venues, imposing historic fincas and torres in the Alicante countryside, stunning clifftop wedding venues in El Campello and Benitachell. Beachside wedding ceremonies with dazzling sunsets — something couples often search for when asking who offers beach wedding ceremonies on the Costa Blanca. And yes, for those dreaming of something dramatic, you can absolutely book a castle wedding ceremony in Costa Blanca too. Luxury weddings in 5‑star resorts.
I never tire of telling people just how diverse the Costa Blanca region of Spain is and how it offers so much more than they may realise in terms of landscapes and vistas. That diversity translates to the Alicante wedding venues on offer for couples planning a destination wedding in Spain. It’s also why so many couples ask how to choose a wedding celebrant in Spain — because the setting, the atmosphere and the person guiding the ceremony all work together to shape the experience.
Here’s a list of the wedding locations in the Costa Blanca where I’ve officiated weddings — Murcia, Crevillente, Alicante City, San Juan, El Campello, Villajoyosa, Guadalest, Benissa, Altea, Benitachell, Javea, Valencia, Los Alcázares, Denia, Calpe, Elche, La Zenia, Benidorm, Novelda, La Manga, Albir and more.
After years of enjoyable corporate life it was time for a change and after years of dreaming of joining my family in Spain, we decided that we (daughter‑dog‑husband) would make the Iberian peninsula our home too and we’ve never looked back.
Imaginative and flexible I can help translate your ideas into your special wedding ceremony in Spain.
If this is a classical ceremony, super! Or, if it includes a theme, a sand ritual, a poem read by a dear friend or a starring role for you dog ... that's fabulous too!
My wedding ceremonies are written just for you and not from a template. This means that they reflect your story in a relaxed and personal way.
Skilled in small intimate events as well as larger celebrations in formal and informal settings. I love helping couples include their family, friends and children in their wedding ceremony.
Speaking a good level of Spanish and French I love welcoming your guests in their first language. I'll happily try welcomes in other languages too! With Irish roots a "Cead mile failte!" is always a favourite!
My family have lived in the Costa Blanca for over 20 years. It doesn't surprise us that weddings in this beautiful region of Spain are increasingly popular.
I'd love to hear more about your plans and ideas for your wedding ceremony in Spain, please do get in touch.
